Bethel Community Church – Fulltime Elder / Pastoral Worker
Bethel Community Church is seeking a pastoral person to assist the existing team of elders in a proactive
effort to build and encourage our community of believers. We are an English church located in Pointe-
Claire, Quebec Canada. Pointe-Claire is a suburb located in the West Island of Montreal. Bethel is a
stable church with brethren roots that has been operating for more than 60 years. This church can best
be described as a long term village with a focus on care for all. Most of our members live in the West
Island and within a 10-15 minute drive of the church.
We are looking to invest in our congregation as well as seekers through:
- Community building activities
- Ensuring that every church member is connected
- Bible studies
- Relationship building events for all groups and all ages
Responsibilities include:
- Discipling
- Biblical counselling
- Connecting our congregation with each other and with service opportunities, etc.
- Finding ways to build intergenerational connections
- Ensuring that we have leadership and activities for all groups
- Seniors
- Youth
- C&C
- Young families
- Women
- Men
- Community outreach
- It may also include some preaching and teaching
Requirements:
- A dedicated Christian with a desire to serve the Lord through an investment in His people
- Minimum 5 years of related experience
- Ability to work as part of a team of existing part time elders
