Parkside Ranch’s mission is to bring healing and purpose through the practical expression of God’s love.
Parkside Ranch was founded in 1967 by Fred and Jean Warnholtz as a summer camp for children and retreat center. Over the years the ministry has expanded to also include 3 community outreaches each year where the Christian Farmers share the gospel, after school horse clubs for both elementary and high school children which include Bible studies, involvement with the local criminal justice system working with youth offenders who need to do community service, taking one student each school year from our local high school for a stage in barn management and having a equine therapy program.
Last year 3 of our staff became certified equine therapy instructors. We offer the community equine therapy for children and adults with varying special needs, anywhere from ADHD to cerebral palsy. Also, we have worked with a veteran with PTSD. Horses are a great tool to help bring healing. We do ask the people to help pay for this program but payment is not required if the family cannot afford our services. As with involvement with the CLSC we do not overtly share the gospel but look for ways to share God’s love and plan of salvation. This often happens when people realize that payment is not a prerequisite for therapy. We are presently in the process of having our indoor arena certified now.
Please pray along with us as we envision reaching every family in the Magog/Orford region by providing a fun place to discover the person of Jesus Christ and develop a personal relational with Him. We envision equipping Christians to follow the Holy Spirit’s calling on their lives in order to radically impact our society.
Thank you for your continuing support and prayers as we reach out with the Good News of the Gospel to the people of Quebec.
Thank you from the staff at Parkside Ranch.
