Theme: Temptation – Called to Conquer
There is a call to conquer sin, a call that comes from outside of us, from the very Spirit of God. We shall explore together what it means to walk by the Spirit, so that we will not give in to the temptations to gratify the desires of our flesh. We’ll also spend time focusing on prayer — tapping into our source of help and strength.

Activities, eating, gatherings, etc:
– There is a private lake with kayaks, fields for sports and trails for walking. There will be free time and a fun organized group event.– There is a sitting area by a fireplace with a gorgeous view over the lake below, in case we choose to spend time indoors.– Everyone will be part of a meal crew so be prepared to pitch in.
– We’ll have four gatherings with singing, challenging teaching and opportunities to discuss
– We also plan to make time for prayer – both personal and in small groups – giving an opportunity to share requests and to grow in our spiritual walk
Who’s invited:
– The retreat is targeted to the college & career group (i.e. young adults), typically aged 17-30.– Those graduating from high school this year are also welcome to join, in anticipation of their entry into this cohort
– The event is not limited to Bethel attendees. It is extended to friends, classmates and colleagues including those from other Montreal area churches.
Transportation:
We will endeavour to coordinate transportation, with meeting-spots at Bethel and in Rigaud.
